Hybrid mastering with analog equipment for digital distribution
To get started, please send the following by email:
- Mixed audio files at the project’s native sample rate (44.1kHz up to 192kHz).
- Files named with the correct titles, e.g. “Artist - Track Name.wav”.
- Notes with suggestions / questions / ideas / wishes for the master.
- Tracks or records to be used as references.
Files can be sent through any file-sharing service, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer etc.
Once received, the files and information will be carefully reviewed so we can discuss the mix and I can give you feedback on the material.
From there we can discuss the specific solutions and needs of the project before the master is made.
Every project needs something different to reach the final result, so I offer two ways of working:
Stereo Mastering
Mastering from a single stereo file.
This is the traditional approach: the mix decisions are already defined and balanced, so the process consists of examining the track in detail and giving it the final treatment it needs to sound professional and consistent across every playback medium.
Stem Mastering
Mastering from two or more stereo files.
It allows each group of elements to be processed and balanced individually in the mastering chain, without an adjustment to one element affecting the rest.
This option is very useful when the necessary mix adjustments could not be made beforehand through feedback, when there are doubts about the mix, or when there is a specific request to be addressed.
Many artists and producers who mix their own material choose this option for a more detailed technical interaction with the elements of the composition.
Since this is mastering, the idea is never to stray from the original intent of the mix, but to take it to another level in terms of dynamics, impact and definition.
The work is only considered finished when we reach a result that pleases you and meets your needs. I guarantee my full attention and focus on every project, and I believe communication is the key to a satisfying result, so I am always available to talk and help in the best way possible.
I look forward to hearing from you!
